These terms cover the use of this website. The work we do for clients is governed by the separate written proposal and terms we agree with you before starting, and where the two differ, that agreement wins.
Prices on this site
The prices published here are our standard package prices, in South African rand, excluding VAT. They are set from our sterling rates and converted at a rate we review periodically, so they can change if the exchange rate moves materially. The price that applies to you is the one in your written proposal.
Advertising spend is not included in any package price. It is paid by you directly to Meta, Google or the relevant platform from an account you own, and we do not add a margin to it.
What we do and do not promise
We will do the work described in your proposal with reasonable skill and care, and we will tell you when something is not working. We do not guarantee search rankings, advertising results, or any particular commercial outcome, because nobody honestly can. Anyone who does is telling you something they cannot control.
Timelines given on this site are estimates based on typical projects. Most delays come from content and approvals rather than from production.
Who owns what
You own your accounts, your domain, your Google Business Profile, and the content we produce for you, including if you stop working with us. We own the content of this website, which you may read and share but not republish as your own.

Articles here are general information, not advice for your specific situation. Market rates quoted are drawn from published industry sources and are illustrative. Case studies described as the Byter group’s work were carried out by the group, mostly in the United Kingdom, and are labelled as such rather than presented as South African work.
Photographs used for atmosphere and illustration on this site are digitally generated and are not photographs of our offices, our staff or our clients’ premises. Where we show a client’s work, we say whose it is.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, which cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our liability for the services is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
Byter Ltd is registered in England and Wales, and these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in South Africa, this does not remove protections you have under South African consumer law.
