The revenue already in your store

Roughly seven in ten carts get abandoned. Recovering a fraction of those is usually worth more than the next campaign.

Before spending more on traffic, it is worth collecting the revenue that already reached the checkout and stopped. Abandoned cart, browse abandonment and post-purchase flows are set up once and then run, and a surprising number of South African stores have none of them.

After that it is the honest economics: what a customer costs to acquire against what they are worth over time. Paid social can scale a store or bury it, and the difference is entirely whether those two numbers are known.

One of our most-read articles is on cart abandonment for South African stores specifically, which is a reasonable indication of where our attention goes.

Common questions

Which platforms do you work with?

Shopify and WooCommerce mostly. Shopify is generally the easier one to market and the cheaper one to run.

Is WhatsApp worth it for cart recovery?

In South Africa, yes: open rates are far above email. It needs proper opt-in under POPIA, which we set up as part of the build.
